The story of our neckties

I am a Hand Surgeon by profession, and I still perform many surgeries from simple cases to complex ones. From the age of nine, I was interested in sewing which I learned from my mother while helping her. I have always been fascinated by neckties, but thought the designs were too boring. They were either striped, spotted, or solid.

Over the years, I have dedicated a lot of time to redesigning the necktie to make it more attractive, and shift away from traditional designs.

After a day’s hard work in my clinic or operating room I settle down at home to work on the necktie designs some of which come to mind as I sit in the office waiting for the next patient. At home I draw the designs in detail on paper and then transfer them on the 100% silk fabric.  After that I cut the out line of the neck ties using the most attractive pattern on the silk fabric. Naturally the patterns that are not attractive are discarded. I then start sewing each and every one by hand using my many decades surgical skills in order to reach the final product.

Our neckties are 100% silk, one of a kind, dyed, hand-cut and handmade with the upmost care and skill just as in surgery. You will certainly love wearing them, and friends and family will do a double take when they see you wearing our distinctive neckties.

The story of our neckties and shawls

I am a Hand Surgeon by profession, and I still perform many surgeries from simple cases to complex ones.  From the age of nine, I was interested in sewing which I learned from my mother while helping her. I have always been fascinated by neckties, but thought the designs were too boring. They were either striped, spotted, or solid.

Over the years, I have dedicated a lot of time to redesigning the necktie to make it more attractive, and shift away from traditional designs. After producing many necktie designs, the ladies of my family and their friends started requesting similar designs, but as shawls. They insisted that women buy clothes more than men. They were right! Overnight, I was convinced to make shawls and so I added shawls to my collection of neckties.

Our neckties are 100% silk, and our shawls are either 100% silk or cotton. They are one of a kind, dyed, hand-cut and handmade with the upmost care and skill just as in surgery.

THE STORY OF OUR Hijabs

I am a Hand Surgeon by profession, and I still perform many surgeries from simple cases to complex ones. Since the age of nine, I have been interested in sewing which I learned from my mother while helping her. I would pick up the scraps and piece them together. I observed from my international travels that most of the hijabs worn by Muslim women were dull solid colors and truly not modern. I found myself thinking of how to modernize these hijabs for the twenty first century.

That is how Designer Hijab was born.

After a day’s hard work in my clinic or operating room I settle down at home to work on the designs some of which come to mind as I sit in the office waiting for the next patient. At home I draw the designs in detail on paper and then transfer them on to the100% silk fabric. Naturally the patterns that are not attractive are discarded. I then start sewing them my decades old surgical skills in order to reach the final product which many Muslim women adore.

HOW WE MAKE THE HIJAB

Our hijabs are designer hijabs. We do not use preprinted fabric. We start by selecting the highest quality white chiffon and a very light weight white silk charmeuse so that when our women deck this on their head it is weightless, soft elegant and comfortable. We like to say it is like a butterfly on your head.

We then design the pattern which is reviewed by our team of experts and only when approved do we proceed to the next stage of the design to give these unique and gorgeous hijabs which the women like but are not available in the stores or on the internet. Once the design is completed, we then have out team of experts inspect it for perfection, quality and beauty. The design is then individually transferred unto the hijab and then put through several washed cycles until clear.

It is the taken transferred to our in-house tailor and sewn with the utmost care with the goal of making a perfect stitch all around the hijab.

The final step involves individual inspection of the hijab in order to meet out standards. This is what sets us apart in the business of hijab.

Because our in-house artist makes these designs, we can offer you custom hijabs. This means you can choose your fabric, the color and the pattern and we shall have it at your door step for your special occasion.

For these special occasions we have the in-house capacity to produce several quantities of the same beautiful design and color depending on your choice
